On the eve of war SOPHIE KIRKGAARD, a successful tech CEO meets her chief engineer DAN ANDERSON at the top of her skyscraper business HQ. She wants to use the Glass Chair, an experimental time travel device they have been developing, to see if humanity will survive. Anderson is nervous as the device hasn't been tested. It has been designed so that an audio link is possible as Sophie travels forward in time, so that she can report what she sees. She messages back observations of the war, but it soon becomes apparent that she is unable to reverse the trip, and is hurtling forwards in time ever faster, beyond the lifespan of the world and the cosmos until she reports back that she can see something at the end of time. Anderson, racked with pain at losing both his boss and the woman he loves can only listen helplessly as the marvels unfold.

The Glass Chair is an audio-focused drama of love, wonder, terror and loss. It would make a great low-budget indie short, with a single location, two actors and scope for expansion.
