When teenage Beauty’s gorgeous face is horribly disfigured in a baseball accident, caused by her brother TJ, her childhood dreams are shattered.
Unable to afford cosmetic surgery, Beauty is forced to attend high school with her damaged face. The students torture and tease her, driving Beauty into haunted loneliness. Her kind father, Thomas, promises to pay for plastic surgery when he can. Her narcissistic, botox mother, Joan, gloats. She is no longer in a beauty competition with her daughter. Finally, she is more beautiful than Beauty.
When Thomas is suddenly killed before Beauty’s eyes in a macabre car accident, Beauty slips into deep depression. Thomas’s life insurance policy allows for Beauty’s cosmetic surgery. Joan negotiates a 2-for-1 deal at a local clinic. When hopeful Beauty unwraps her new face, she is repulsed by the image of her permanently scarred skin. Beauty spirals into insanity. Their paranormal voices taunt her. “Beauty is dead”!
Joan picks up her kids, TJ, Beauty and Hope moves to Sodom to buy a house on Thomas’s savings.
Gruesome murders begin to terrorize the high school in Sodom. The small town is paralyzed by fear. Who could be systematically killing the female coach and students? And why?
Detective Delgado demands the school closure. Principal Morrow defies him. The school has recently received a Federal grant to restore its baseball complex and host the All-League Opening Gala. The show must go on! Delgado smells trouble and sure enough, while Principal Morrow unveils the new trophy case on Opening Day, the entire town witnesses the gruesome aftermath of the murder of beautiful Natalie, the student most likely to succeed; her pretty face smashed to a pulp.
Meanwhile, Beauty, psychotic, obsessed, and locked in her room, is questioned about the murders. Her deeply repressed hatred turns toward Joan. Can Detective Delgado put the messy pieces together and find the bloody baseball murderer before they strike again? Beauty is a suspect, but she doesn't care, because her mother always told her…Beauty must suffer. Can you guess the real killer?
