Follow Big John Hoover, a reclusive healer with supernatural abilities, as he moves to the haunted island of Key West with his wife, Angela, in search of peace and a chance to write a book about his gift. But the island's dark past quickly intrudes on their new life. 

Haunted by his addiction to coffee and cigars, John's powers begin to falter, drawing the attention of malevolent spirits, including the ghost of Mr. Delgado, a murdered cigar baron; Count Carl von Cosel, a deranged historical figure obsessed with a corpse; and Black Caesar, a legendary pirate ghost with a sinister fixation on John’s friend Maggie May, a former model turned psychic. 

As the paranormal disturbances escalate, John seeks guidance from Miss Anne, a Voodoo queen on Duval Street, who warns him to conquer his addictions and acquire a King Solomon’s Seal necklace to protect himself. Meanwhile, Dexter Wade, a vengeful billionaire John once healed, arrives on the island, forcing John to face the consequences of his past actions. 

With the help of Maggie, her cop boyfriend Hank, Miss Anne and Angela’s unwavering support, John battles the restless spirits and confronts his own demons in a climactic showdown that unfolds in a cursed hotel and cemetery. In the end, John must perform a ritual using a sacred kapok tree to free the trapped souls, ultimately choosing to abandon his vices and accept his role as a healer, learning that true redemption requires sacrifice and resolving one’s past.
