Synopsis

Luke Bennett, 26, once had a promising future as a teenage hockey player. But after his business fails, he is left buried in debt and working at a warehouse. Convinced that he has failed at life, Luke decides to end his life. A voicemail

from his father, however, makes him return home for Christmas to see his parents one last time.

Back home, Luke slowly reconnects with his family and the life he left behind. He also reconnects with his former coach, Jack Sullivan, and discovers that the natural ability to lead and encourage others is still within him.

Eventually, Luke confesses to his parents that he came home intending to say goodbye before ending his life. Instead of judging him, they embrace him and remind him that his worth is not defined by his failures.

On Christmas Day, Jack visits and reveals that he is retiring from coaching. He offers Luke the opportunity to take his place. Luke does not answer immediately, but the possibility gives him something he has not felt in a long time—a reason

to look toward the future.

The next morning, Luke accepts the opportunity to become a coach. Standing outside with his parents, he realizes that his problems have not disappeared, but he no longer feels trapped by them.

For the first time in a long while, Luke believes there may be a tomorrow worth looking forward to.
