Four female friends, Jane, Andi, Shelley, and Angela, join the Marines straight out of high school and are deployed to Iraq. They realize the military is not what it's cracked up to be. The friends suffer through rape, racism, and bigotry. Despite Purple Heart awards, when the G.I’s get back home from Iraq, they are high in bills and debt. Furthermore, Jane’s veteran dad needs fifty thousand dollars for a cancer operation, and Andi finds an eviction notice her boyfriend was hiding. When Andi’s sister, Trina, calls for help, the four women head over and tackle Lamont, the abusive boyfriend. This reveals his dealings with a gang, and a duffel bag holding one hundred thousand dollars. The key element is a black notebook filled with priceless information.
