CASSANDRA bursts into a barely-decorated room with a table in the center. She's run into this building trying to escape from BRUNO, a hitman who's after her. As they glower at each other, one of the walls rise and they find themselves on stage being 'auditioned' for a new TV show by HANNAH a director, and JOSH her intern. The show is called 'Real Shit' and it's about people in conflict, so Cassandra and Bruno seem to be ready-made auditioners.

At the mention of prize money, Bruno and Cassandra start to try and work through their conflict. Home truths are told, but will they reconcile?

Showdown is a fast paced limited-location script and would make a great high-energy short film. All the roles are suited for good comedy actors to get big laughs.
