Ben Hicks is a writer/director who has been supported by the Gotham Narrative Lab (formerly known as IFP), the US & French Connection, and the US in Progress. After working in the film industry and making two award-winning short films, Ben felt his life experiences limited him as a writer, so he decided to move abroad. His experiences living in Japan, Taiwan, and Germany helped shape him and his feature film debut, Kids Go Free to Fun Fun Time.
