Their short interaction with Marty highlights his disillusionment and sets the tone for his desire to escape routine. Traits: grounded, authentic, slightly eccentric or weary. No ongoing relationships in the story, but their presence contrasts sharply with Darla’s intensity.

The performance should feel naturalistic and understated—an ordinary person with quirks that make them memorable without pulling focus from Marty.
